You can now accredit yourself or your organisation. This effectively is a badge to show your funders and clients that you are tackling your energy issues and seeking to manage and reduce your carbon footprint. Opting for accreditation turns WeSave into a simple Energy Management System.
The accreditation process is simple and available at four levels:
•
Bronze - for this you need to complete the energy monitoring section of WeSave. You’ll need to enter at least two lots of information per fuel type.
•
Silver - this builds on the Bronze level. To achieve this accreditation you need to complete the second section of WeSave – identifying potential improvements
•
Gold - This is the important one. You will get WeSave Gold if you have completed bronze and silver levels and acted on the suggested changes and made improvements and improved your pledge score. It will not normally be possible to go straight to gold level as this accreditation requires action over time.
•
Platinum - This is for flagship organisations that have made significant changes and are going beyond the recommendations of WeSave. You will be promoting your achievements and helping others to get started – you will need to evidence this. We’ll create a case study for you to display to help with this process.
When you are ready to be accredited, hit the ‘Accredit’ button and submit your payment. We’ll then assess your progress and accredit you at the appropriate level. If there is anything you’ve missed, we’ll let you know so that you can resubmit. The cost is the same price for each level, some organisations will be able to go straight to silver, but most will be an incremental increase each year.
We’ll send you the appropriate WeSave accreditation e-badge to display proudly on letter head and on your website and you will be placed on our Accreditation league board as well as receive our quarterly newsletter.
All accredited organisations will also receive
•
a WeSave certificate
•
an environment policy template (to adapt with results from WeSave)
•
a monthly check list to adopt and adapt
Accreditation will last for one year.
WeSave is the inspiration of Marches Energy Agency.
It has been developed with the support of a number of organisations, but on the most part it has been built up from our years of experience, wrestling with how to help people to help themselves, with assistance from volunteers, interns, and time donated by staff.
Marches Energy Agency is a registered charity no. 1070942. Find out more about us here.
